stolen from lane, memories from Wesley, heart of worship I desire

how deep the Father’s love for us
how vast beyond all measure
that He should give His only son
to make a wretch His treasure

how great the pain of searing loss
the Father turns His face away
as wounds which mar the chosen One
bring many sons to glory

behold the Man upon a cross
my sin upon His shoulders
ashamed i hear my mocking voice
call out among the scoffers

it was my sin that held Him there
until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
i know that it is finished

i will not boast in anything
no gifts, no power, no wisdom
but i will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection

why should i gain from His reward?
i cannot give an answer
but this i know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

Tid-bits

So I've decided that blogging while pregnant probably isn't the best idea, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop! Michael told Mischa the other day that she was about to "see a whole new side of me" because I am holding very little back when it strikes a nerves... and lately, my nerves have been easy to strike!

My newest frustration is with people who keep telling me to "slow down and take it easy." While I know they mean well, and are just trying to remind me to take care of myself and the baby, it doesn't make saying that ok... UNLESS they are, in the same breath, volunteering to do whatever it is that has me running around like crazy! And that second thought is evidently not standard procedure with the "slow down" thought. And not everyone who tells me to slow down strikes this nerve...but people who are standing around, sitting around, or generally uninvolved who feel the need to tell me to "slow down" strike it everytime. Next time, if I'm not careful, I'm going to end up saying "ok, now here's the music for you to lead at vbs" or "ok sure, now here's what you need to do that I'm having to do right this minute because no one else has" And what a terrible temperment to have!

As far as losing my Jesus... its a fairly long and complicated conclusion that I've reached that has many diverse factors influencing it. The short of it is just that simple, I have lost MY Jesus - the up close and personal Jesus, and instead have found myself with the boxed and canned version of Jesus that most churches spoonfeed to their members. And I've become so wrapped up in the duty of my church work, that I have lost the heart of it. Its no longer willing service, but dutiful obligation... and in most cases, involves a negative attitude and grumbling on my part.. neither of which is good.

Its a real frustration personally and spiritually... and I've got to get my time out to get it all straightened out!
