A breif April

If I thought last month flew by, I didn't realize how quick a month could fly by, because we are looking at the last week of April come Monday.

April has carried our usual busyness along with some adventures. I celebrated my 22nd birthday this month and have managed to fight the sneezy, runny nose and watery eyes spring symptoms for most of the month since then.

Michael is enjoying his spring break this week and looking foward to the last 3 weeks of school before summer. His classes for spring are winding down which means he's getting geared into paper and project mode for finishing up!

Work at the newspaper has been as hectic as ever as we've spent most of the month working up the ads and features for next week's Administrative Professionals Day. I'm just glad that only happens once a year, it sucked all the creativity out of my brain!!

Last week was a good week for Daddy as he scored his first hole in one on the golf course. If you've been to the Country club and looked out at the hole that tees off from one side of the pond and the green is on the other, that was the spot. Pretty cool place to make a hole in one for sure!

This month also exposed me to arena football as we took a trip to Albany to see the South Georgia arena football team play as a Chi Phi Alumni event. It was a little too loud and the announcer was a little to annoying, but fun none the less.

Relay for Life was held in Blakely earlier in the month and raised over $60,000 for the American Cancer Society. I spent most of the Relay with a camera in front of my face for the newspaper coverage, but it was fun. Megan Lewis also came to visit for the weekend which was enjoyable.

This weekend finds Michael back in class and me on the road to Athens for an adventure with the old friends! Hoorah!

We've got a fishing tournament Saturday the 28th to serve as our last big adventure for the month!

Hope everything is well in your world and until next time,
